“Nordecke” Sunday Brunch Menu

Nordecke is German for “north corner” or “north end,” fitting for our North End Tavern & Brewery. Our Nordecke menu features a family favorite, “goetta,” a German breakfast staple, among other tasty brunch eats and drinks.

What is goetta? Think of it as breakfast sausage and hash browns deliciously combined. Goetta (rhymes with feta) is primarily composed of ground meat (pork, or pork and beef), pin-head oats and herbs and spices such as bay leaves, rosemary, salt, pepper, and thyme. It has its roots as a German working-class food but was developed in America in the 19th century. Goetta makes a distinct popping sound as it fries and is typically served at breakfast.
